Abstract：
New material technology is the foundation of the advanced technology. The discovery, invention, application and extension are indispensable to the technology revolutionary. Therefore, accelerate the development of new materials, is strategically important to promote technological innovation, to support industrial upgrading and contribute to the long-term goal of carbon neutrality.
In the 11th of March in 2022, the launching ceremony of the research project of radioactive wastewater treatment technology, based on Zirconium Phosphate (ZrP) was grandly held in Sichuan radiation environment management and monitoring center station (hereinafter referred to as Provincial Radiation Station). The Secretary of the Party Committee, the head of this station, Xiaoqin DENG; the Chairman of Resin&Zircon Technology Co. Ltd, Guanhui WEI participated this ceremony.
The provincial radiation station founded in 1988, is a public welfare institution directly under the Department of Ecological Environment. It has the dual qualifications of National Laboratory Accreditation and metrological certification. It is mainly responsible for the provincial radiation environmental quality monitoring, early warning monitoring of nuclear facilities, supervisory monitoring, nuclear and radiation emergency monitoring and disposal, operation and management of provincial urban radioactive waste repository, technical review of environmental assessment documents of provincial radiation construction projects, on-site supervision and inspection of radiation safety of provincial certification nuclear technology utilization units, post assessment of nuclear technology practitioners Scientific research, science popularization and other tasks in the field of nuclear and radiation safety. Resin&Zircon Co., Ltd. is the only company that has realized α- Zirconium phosphate and γ- Zirconium phosphate is industrialized and mass produced. It is the first high-tech enterprise to industrialize zirconium phosphate nuclear grade resin in the direction of radiation environment treatment. The company's products are widely used in nuclear power, petrochemical, light industry, medical treatment, environmental protection, modified new materials and many other fields.
Mr. Deng pointed that, Sichuan as the main province on nuclear research and nuclear application, it remains the history and abundant base on nuclear field. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, a new era of nuclear development comes to Sichuan. Following President Xi pronounced the Socialism with Chinese characteristics, Sichuan developed the Nuclear Medical Heath Industrial Zone, and the Nuclear Technology Application Zone. At present, although some nuclear application units in the province have reached the discharge standards in the follow-up treatment of radioactive wastewater, deficiencies still exist. With the development of science and technology and the deepening of nuclear application, the requirements for complex nuclide control, such as long and short half-life cycles are becoming higher, and the existing technology needs to be improved in many aspects. As a radionuclide radiation supervision and monitoring unit, the Provincial Radiation Station has advantages in instrument and equipment, intellectual ability and liaison with nuclear related units. Accelerating the application research of zirconium phosphate in radioactive wastewater treatment has important scientific research value and practical significance. It is hoped that the scientific researchers of both parties involved in the project will overcome difficulties, be brave in innovation, base themselves on Sichuan and expand the whole country to contribute to the cause of radioactive wastewater treatment.
Mrs. Wei presents, being supported by the scientific research strength and application scenarios of the provincial radiation station, we are full of confidence in the industrialization of zirconium phosphate in nuclear wastewater treatment. As a science and technology enterprise, while paying attention to scientific research, we also pay attention to transformation, application and promotion.
