In the 22nd of January in 2022, in response to the relevant requirements of the 2020 central economic work conference made by President Xi, to solve a number of "strangle" problems as soon as possible, and to enhance the independent and controllable ability of the industrial and supply chain. The expert consultation meeting on the R & D technical scheme of ZRP nuclear resin products held a network meeting at the national nuclear and radiation safety supervision technology R & D base of the Ministry of ecological environment, the Chief scientist Xinhua LIU hosted this meeting. The groups who participated to this meeting including, the director of CGN Engineering Co., Ltd, Lijun LAN and the team by director Linjun YANG; Xin WANG and the team from State power investment Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Design and Research Institute; Professor Jing CHEN and the team from Tsinghua University, Professor Wenfu YAN and the team from Jilin University, Professor Weifeng ZHAO and the team from Sichuan University; the Dean of College Tao DUAN from School of national defense science and technology, Southwest University of science and technology; the director Meiling FENG and the team from Fujian Institute of material structure, Chinese Academy of Sciences; the chairman of Resin&Zircon New Material Co. Ltd. Guanhui WEI and the team.



The Chief Scientist, Xinhua LIU introduces the ZrP nuclear grade resin in detail, and the program process. Mr LIU points the Professor Wenfu YAN in Jilin University as the manager of this program group. The senior engineer of technology R & D base; Wei HE from National Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety, presents the R & D technical scheme of ZrP nuclear grade resin; Professor Weifeng ZHAO from Sichuan University and the Professor Bo LIU from Southwest University of Science and Technology, introduce the progress and the related experimental data of inorganic composite ZrP. Director MeiLing FENG from Chinese Academy of Sciences expounds the research and development of granulation process related to organic and inorganic materials; CGN and state power investment put forward product R & D suggestions and specific parameter indicators at the design and application end of nuclear power plant.



 In the discussion, Professor Jing CHEN from Tsinghua University shares the application consideration of ZrP, combined with the comprehensive characteristics of radioactive materials, the application point and scope are identified. Professor Wenhua FU speaks highly of the new material has been using in the nuclear power field, points the key weaknesses and main technologies of existing materials, as well as the practical problems of "strangle" in the material supply chain will be solved in our team.




The Chief of Scientist Mr LIU made a statement of this meeting, indicates a condition, that the nuclear field in China has been “strangled” by other European countries and the US, we should solve these problems as soon as possible and firmly grasp the initiative of technology and materials by ourself.
